This is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On June 6, 2022, deputies with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) served two search warrants to investigate illegal cannabis cultivation in the Southern Humboldt area. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife, California State Water Resources Control Board and Humboldt County Code Enforcement assisted in the service of the warrants.

Two parcels were investigated during the service of the warrants. The parcels did not possess the required county permit and state license to cultivate cannabis commercially.

At the first parcel, located in the Fish Creek Watershed near Benbow, deputies located numerous indoor cultivation sites, powered by a large diesel generator that was buried underground. Additionally, environmental scientists located numerous environmental violations, including a large amount of sediment discharged into the nearby watershed.

During the service of the warrant, deputies eradicated approximately 1,468 growing cannabis plants. Deputies seized and destroyed approximately 86 pounds of processed cannabis and over 49 pounds of cannabis shake.

Environmental violations found by assisting agencies include:

,000 fine per day, per violation)

Additional violations with civil fines are expected to be filed by the assisting agencies.

At the second parcel, located on the 3,000 block of Old Briceland Road, near Garberville, deputies located numerous indoor cultivation sites, also powered by a large diesel generator that was buried underground.

During the service of the warrant, deputies eradicated approximately 2,392 growing cannabis plants. Deputies seized and destroyed over 527 pounds of processed cannabis, approximately 15 pounds of cannabis bud and approximately 130 pounds of cannabis shake.

Environmental violations found by assisting agencies include:

Additional violations with civil fines are expected to be filed by the assisting agencies.

Must be the good stuff commands better prices than low cost $300 sungrown

Good to see them busting the big illegal operations with plenty of code violations.

Wow, legal grower congratulating the cops on a bust. Times have changed.

There does appear to be some environmental issues here and hopefully this is the basis for the support since they are not really economic competition.

I’m definitely hearing legal growers speak up for enforcement thinking grows like this are the reason why wholesale prices are so low. Which would only be true if they are both selling on the illicit market and probably out of state to the same area.

Yep I guess in desperate times people swing wildly looking for someone to blame. It’s expected- people blame John Ford, Estelle Fennel, Gavin Newsom, anyone who is a convenient scapegoat for their poverty. Most everyone who’s been in the game for a long time has seen this coming and has made plans. In my world view, growers shouldn’t be cheering the bust of others unless they really know the situation and the people truly deserve it. Sometimes they do!

Gotta agree completely with you.

I have to give you the benefit of the doubt and assumes that your comment was sarcastic.

Awesome, now they need to check out all the grows at the Connick Creek subdivision in Garberville, using GSD water, not rain catchment.

Wow.. Maybe, let them do their job?

Anyone know how far up the first one was? And on which road?

They both look pretty clean and stable to me..

Other than the water diversions and large generators and fuel tanks without proper containment

Along with water pollution (Large amount of sediment found in waterway) and trash in and around waterway.

And calling some dried up gully a waterway so they can qualify for the big fines. But you gotta feel sorry for the cops. They’re also having trouble selling the pot they steal. I mean confiscate.

Dried up gully because the water was being diverted. There are many small seasonal creeks around here that could easily be consumed by a large grow. It doesn’t make them magically not waterways

All them small creek’s is what makes are river I guess it would be a good idea to have met just hike the river and then go up every little creek and see what they find

Indeed, those small creeks are literally the life blood of the rivers. They were decimated by logging and have since been often abused to grow cannabis. Hopefully we will come to appreciate how important they are soon

Great work LEO’s and MET!! Keep it up all summer long, looking forward to more pictures of busted mega grows, would be great to get the Grow Punks to go with it.

Can’t we bust the growers too?

Awesome job all the way around, good for environment, and good to get these high and mighty grow punks off of the streets!

Stop trying to make “Grow Punks” happen Bill.

I agree. Both “pot punks” and “grow goons” have a better ring to them.

Mega grows? You know there are companies growing millions of square feet in the desert, right?

yeah, but they’re coporate, and boomers love corporations.

I know a guy with your name and an indoor scene that likes to pretend he doesn’t do it and talk about others doing it. Wonder if you’re the same ol boy

theres Rumors from people in the know that the chopper is flying with FLIR infrared equipment . There will be more indoor busts .

Lmao…they’ve been doing that since the 90’s…….remember all the big indoors back in the day? Everyone was on the Diesel growers are Devils trip. Gas was over $5 a gallon then and we were getting over $4000 a pound. We thought the gas prices and low price per pound was killing the industry. All those trucks filling up hidden gas tanks in G ville…now look at the underground indoor scene…gas is $7 a gallon and your lucky to get $1k for an elbow….back then a 100 light scene was big and the few people running 200+ light scenes were major ballers…now 100 lights is nothing along with cannabis being worth nothing…I’ve been out of the game for a long time…we were seeing signs of the beginning of the end decades ago…….

Better just to it out door comes out just as good

Walls/roofs are generally thick enough and insulated enough to block any infrared radiation from the other side.

Someone needs to study physics if you think any amount of insulation can save a indoor grow from infrared cameras.

Concrete walls and roofs maybe.

The reason they stopped using FLIR is because the Supreme Court said they could only do it with a warrant

lol, they really didn’t need infrared. The houses that had no frost on the roof was a tell.

Used to love growing indoor in Midwestern basements, the climate is easy to control and you can point your exhaust up into the house for “free” heat in the winter!

Nice, I like when we can use as much of that energy. Someday we’ll be free to make our lives efficient without big brother over our shoulders. I know I like to dream, lol.

Great job catching those nasty Cannabis Growers instead of some Meth Labs & maybe some Fentanyl dealers, you know, the Really DANGEROUS stuff???!!!

my cats breath smells like cat food.

Hard to.imagine making a profit on diesel grown weed with fuel prices so hi.

There have been some massive Fentanyl related busts in the last year. They can walk and chew gum at the same time

Fentanyl busts are made on a regular basis…

That’s was a decently clean grow . Maybe a Lil outdated and time for some upgrades since it’s a good time to remodel

No it is actually a shit greed grow. They sure put a lot of thought into their infastructure. Except for key elements such as a good water supply and not fuck’in up our environment. Just a few pennies more but obviously they don’t really give two shits about the plant. Plenty of desert for this kinda shit ass growing. Glad they got popped!

So long as you pay your taxes you can do far more damage than these folks were.

We prefer if they leave they don’t get it!

We are the pharmaceutical industry, and” we can spray the poisons right over your head , all day whiLe you cite these low level operators.
